Did you know that the most number of changes thake place without you even realising it. Look at the family tra ditions. Everybody today is to themselves. We only meet at weddings and funerals. We have lost our communication ability that is greatly needed to socialise. Haveing isolated ourslves and our families, is it no wonder that so many people are suffering with depression today that ever before.
Does this mean that there were nobody suffering with depression previously? Certainly not! But previously, when we used to socialise a lot, we always talked about thing, including our problems. Then we would find that everyone else also has lots of problems and 99% of the time, we found that our problem is so small compared to some of the problems that others are experiencing. Then the focus shifts from our problem to considering solutions for others and in the interrim, our own problems are solved and forgotten. No depression.
To test this statement, just research the past years deaths that were a result of depression and suicide. The reasons that so many people took their own lives, or killed are so small and insignificant, when compared to the problems that others are going through. Yet these were terrible mountains to the victims.
Do you remember when you met the last person that is not part of your immediate family? The normal greeting would be, "Hello, How are You?"
If that person replied, "Not too Good," or something similiar, what would have been your reaction. Your mind would be screaming what you would not say, "Who cares?"
Lets try to change this, one step at a time. Lets say I care, not we care. Change begins with each individual and therefore starts with me>
